今回は新しくFirst Classの講師として仲間入りしてくれたJoy(ジョイ)先生に自己紹介インタビューをしたいと思います！

Could you please introduce yourself?

I am Mary Joy Roma. I’m 38 years old. I have 3 children and a husband who is currently working abroad.
（私はマリー・ジョイ・ロマです。38歳で子供が3人いて旦那さんは今海外で働いています）
What are your hobbies?
（趣味はなんですか？）
My hobbies are sleeping, eating, and watching both Filipino and Korean drama.
（趣味は寝る事と食べる事と、フィリピンドラマと韓国ドラマを見る事です。）
When is your birthday?
（誕生日はいつですか？）
My birthday is on July 19.
（私の誕生日は7月19日です。）
What is your favorite color? Why?
（好きな色はなんですか？また、なぜですか？）
My favorite colors are pastel colors because in my opinion, they look very colorful and pleasing to my eyes.
（好きな色はパステルカラーで、個人的にはとてもカラフルで目に心地良い色だと思います。）
What is your favorite native Filipino food?
（好きなフィリピン料理はなんですか？）
My favorite Filipino foods are humba, balbacua, and, ginabot.
（フンバ、バルバクア、そしてギナボットが私のお気に入りのフィリピン料理です。）
Where is the place to visit in Cebu that you’d recommend?
（セブ島でオススメの場所はどこですか？）
The place to visit in Cebu I’d recommend is Medellin. It is located in the northern part and I can assure you that this place will surely give you satisfaction because of the wonderful and fresh sceneries.
（私がおススメする、セブで訪れるべき場所はメデリンです。セブの北部に位置していて、美しくてフレッシュな景色には皆さんにも満足して頂けると思います。）
How do you describe your personality?
（自分はどんな性格だと思いますか？）
I describe myself as bubbly, and positive.
（陽気でポジティブな人間だと思います。）
What do you want to become in another life?
（生まれ変わったら何になりたいですか？）
I want to be a hippopotamus because I want to be alone in the wilds.
（大自然で一人になってみたいので、カバになりたいです。）
What inspired you to become a teacher?
（講師になろうと思ったきっかけはなんですか？）
What inspires me to become a teacher are the children that are eager to learn.
（学ぶことに対して貪欲な子供達が、教師になりたいと思わせてくれたキッカケです。）
What made you decide to work at First Class?
(First Classで働こうと思ったきっかけはなんですか？)
I like to meet different type of people and students that have different cultures.
（異なる文化を様々なタイプの人や生徒さんに触れたいからです。）
Is there something that you keep in mind during the lesson?
(英語を教える時に気をつけていることはなんですか？)
The only thing that is in my mind is as long as they are interested in learning and studying English, they can improve and have a great future ahead.
（学ぶことに対する興味、英語を勉強する事に対する興味が生徒にある限り、必ず成長してより良い将来を実現してもらえる、と信じる事です。）
Any message to future student?
(生徒の皆さんへのメッセージをお願いします)
Keep on studying and continue to strive hard on your dreams. Don’t be intimidated by these upcoming problems because these are part of our lives and it makes us a greater version of us.
（継続的な勉強を行い、夢に向かって精進していきましょう。問題に直面する事は人生の一部なので、恐れず、より良い自分にアップグレードしていきましょう。）
