第06回はマリアン先生のインタビューです🎤
Could you please introduce yourself?
(自己紹介をして下さい)
I am Marian Mae Pugoy. I am born and raised in Cebu. I’ve been in the ESL industry for 3 years now and I graduated Bachelor in Elementary Education in 2014.
私はマリアン・メイ・プゴイと言います。私は生まれも育ちもセブ島です。
英語教育業界で働いて、3年になります。2014年に教育学部の学士過程を卒業しました。
What are your hobbies?
(趣味は何ですか？)
I am really into going outside with family/friends whenever I have time.
I love talking about future plans and stuff over a good meal.
時間がある時は家族や友人と外出するのが好きです。
美味しい食事をしながら将来についてなどを話すのが好きです。
When is your birthday?
(誕生日はいつですか？)
I was born on the 30th day of August 1993.
1993年8月30日に生まれました。
What is your favorite color?
(好きな色はなんですか？)
White, it’s so calming and very positive to look at.
見た目がポジティブで落ち着くので、白です。
What is your favorite local Filipino food?
(好きなローカルのフィリピン料理は何ですか？)
The very famous Cebu’s lechon is one of my favorites. The crispness of its
skin makes my heart jump.
セブで有名なレチョン(豚の丸焼き)が好きな食べ物の一つです。
パリパリな皮に私の心は飛び跳ねます。
Where is the place to visit in Cebu that you’d recommend?
(セブ島でおススメの場所はどこですか？)
I highly recommend you to come and visit both the south and the north of cebu. And get to experience the wonderful nature and the culture we have.
セブ島の南部、または北部を訪れる事をおススメします。自然と文化を体験して頂きたいです。
How do you describe your personality?
(自分はどんな性格だと思いますか？)
People mistakenly think I’m always in a bad mood, but it’s just because of
my eyebrows. I’m quite a happy person though.
人にはよく機嫌が悪いと思われがちなのですが、眉毛のせいです。私は基本、ハッピーな人です。
What do you want to become in another life?
(生まれ変わったら何になりたいですか？)
I really wanted to become a patissier but I’m planning to not wait for another life to achieve it.
パティシエに凄くなりたかったですが、パティシエになる為に生まれ変わるのを待ってないでしょう。
What inspired you to become a teacher?
(英語講師になろうと思ったきっかけは？)
I used to act as a teacher to my playmates as a kid. So, I guess it’s innate in me. Haha
子供の頃から、友達と遊ぶときは先生役をやっていました。なので、私の中に講師としての気質が存在していたのでしょう。(笑)
What made you decide to work at First Class?
(なぜFirst Classで働こうと思いましたか？)
Firstly it’s the aura of the environment, it’s full of positivity. Secondly, it’s
knowing the fact that I will be joining a newly opened school and be able to
learn and grow personally and professionally gave me a huge excitement.
第一に、雰囲気です。
ポジティブな雰囲気で溢れていると感じました。
第二に、新しくオープンした学校のスタートアップメンバーとして働き、個人的にも仕事面でも新しいことを学び成長できるという事実が、とても嬉しく感じました。
Is there something that you keep in mind when you teach students English language?
(英語を教える時に気をつけていることは？)
I always bear in mind that learning a second language takes a long process that requires a lot of patience. So, I make it a point to posess that as a
teacher in order for them to be comfortable and eager to learn.
外国語を学ぶ事は長いプロセスで沢山の特訓が必要である事を常に忘れないようにしています。
それを常に意識する事で、生徒が安心して勉強し、また学ぶ事に対して熱心になれるようにしています。
Any message to future students?
(生徒の皆さんへのメッセージ)
Be thirsty to learn, be passionate of what you do, be patient. We are very excited to be teaching you here in FCI.
学ぶ事に貪欲に、自分がやる事に対して情熱を持ち、我慢強くいましょう。
