第04回はゼン先生のインタビューです🎤

-Could you please introduce yourself?
(自己紹介をして下さい)

I am Zenith Jane, you can call me Zen for short, a passionate teacher.I am a graduate of Bachelor of Secondary Education majoring English. I have been an ESL teacher for 10 years both offline and online and I find it very interesting,thus,challenging.

私の名前はゼニス・ジェーンです。皆からはゼンと呼ばれています。
私は熱い気持ちを持った講師です。
英語教育学部学士過程を修業しました。英語講師として、オンライン英会話、オフライン英会話の両方の環境で、合わせて10年働いています。
英語講師としての仕事は楽しくもあり、やり甲斐のある仕事です。

-What are your hobbies?
(趣味は何ですか？)

I love music, I could not imagine life without music, I listen to music, specially when I am down,I listen to my favorite songs and sing with it.I also love dancing.Dancing seems like a rhythm to my body:)

音楽が大好きです、音楽なしの生活は考えられません。
落ち込んだ時には特に音楽を聴きます。お気に入りの曲を聴いて、歌います。ダンスも好きです。
踊る事は私の体に適したリズムのような気がします。

-When is your birthday?
(誕生日はいつですか？)

I was born on September 9, 1987 under the zodiac sign of Virgo.

1987年9月9日生まれの乙女座です。

-What is your favorite color?
(好きな色はなんですか？)

My favorite color is pink,I find it very attractive and pretty.

ピンクです、魅力的で可愛い色だと思います。

-What is your favorite local Filipino food?
(好きなローカルのフィリピン料理は何ですか？)

I love eating spicy sisig, it is so tasty especially when it’s hot.

辛いシシグが好きです、特に辛いシシグはとっても美味しいです。

-Where is the place to visit in Cebu that you’d recommend?
(セブ島でおススメの場所はどこですか？)

If you’re going to visit Cebu,I would like to recommend you guys to visit my home land, Mactan Island, Mactan Island has a lot of exhilarating beach resorts wherein you and your loved ones can have fun. You can also try some marine sports to take advantage of the beautiful sea.

セブを訪れる際は、私の出身地でもあるマクタン島に行く事をおススメします。
マクタン島にはリラックスできるビーチリゾートが沢山あり、友人や家族と楽しい時間が過ごせます。
綺麗な海でマリーンスポーツも楽しめます。

-How do you describe your personality?
(自分はどんな性格だと思いますか？)

I am bubbly, kind and easy-going,I can easily get along with you guys.I can be as friendly as you want me to be:) Let’s enjoy each other’s company in our class.

気を遣わず、親しみ易い友達のようなタイプです、とってもフレンドリーです。
レッスンでは一緒に楽しみましょう。

-What do you want to become in another life?
(生まれ変わったら何になりたいですか？)

In another life, I wanted to be a psychologist. I love studying the mind and behavior of a person.

生まれ変わったら心理学者になりたいです。人の心理や言動を分析するのが好きです。

-What inspired you to become a teacher?
(英語講師になろうと思ったきっかけは？)

I always wanted to be a teacher since then,I was influenced by my kindergarten teacher who is so kind and courteous, and I said to myself that someday I’m gonna be like her;)

とても親切で丁寧な幼稚園の先生に影響を受けて以来、先生になりたいと思いました。
いつか、私もこんな先生になりたいな、と思いました。

-What made you decide to work at First Class?
(なぜFirst Classで働こうと思いましたか？)

I chose First Class because this is a new company, I want to be part of its growing and I can be proud of myself that I am one of those people who helps the company to become bigger and bigger as it develops in the future.I can use my experiences in this company as well.

新しい会社なので働きたいと思いました。
これから成長していく会社の一員として、会社が大きくなるのを助けたメンバーだった、と将来思いたいです。
私の経験をこの会社でも発揮したいです。

-Is there something that you keep in mind when you teach students English language?
(英語を教える時に気をつけていることは？)

When I teach I always put my heart on it.I believe that teaching is not just plainly imparting your knowledge but to put your passion on the things that you want your student to perceive.And you are always there to open your mind widely for the possible difficulties of the students and to help them in need. Most importantly, you must be always patient to them.

英語を教えるときは全身全霊で教えます。
英語を教える事、ただ知識を生徒に伝える事ではなく、生徒に理解してほしい事に心を込める必要があると思います。
生徒が直面する可能性のあるあらゆる困難に対して心と耳を傾け、助ける事が講師の役目だと思います。
親身になることが重要です。

-Any message to future students?
(生徒の皆さんへのメッセージ)

発音など間違っているとその都度指摘し修正してくれ、理解できるまで丁寧に教えてくれます。
