Could you please introduce yourself?

Hello! My name is Teacher Leo Marie. In short, you can call me Teacher Leo. I graduated with the degree of Bachelor of Secondary Education Major in Mathematics. I’ve been teaching for almost 4 years already in ESL Industry and want to expand more my teaching career.
こんにちは!私の名前はレオ・マリーです。レオと呼んで下さい。
数学教育学部を卒業しています。講師としては既に4年近く働いていて、これからも講師としてのキャリアを磨いていきたいです。
What are your hobbies?
(趣味は何ですか？)
As a person, I’m into sports. I really like to play Volleyball and Badminton.
スポーツが好きです。バレーボールとバトミントンがとても好きです。
When is your birthday?
(誕生日はいつですか？)
I was born on June 18, 1997.
1997年6月18日生まれです。
What is your favorite color?
(好きな色はなんですか？)
I like Black since I’m comfortable wearing it and it makes me thin.
黒の服を着ると細く見えるので、黒が好きです。
What is your favorite local Filipino food?
(好きなローカルのフィリピン料理は何ですか？)
Honestly, I have lots of favorite Filipino foods here in the Philippines especially the Lechon here in Cebu, paksiw, Adobo, Sisig, Crispy Pata, and Longaniza.
私の好きなフィリピン料理はセブには沢山ありますが、中でもレチョン(豚の丸焼き)、パクスイ、アドボ、シシグ、パタ、ロンガニザが好きです。
Where is the place to visit in Cebu that you’d recommend?
(セブ島でおススメの場所はどこですか？)
I believe all the places here in Cebu are amazing to visit whether it is North or South because there’s a lot of interesting and amazing places in every province that we had.
セブの北部でも南部でも、素晴しい場所がセブには多くあると思います。
セブの全ての地区には、その場所ならではの興味深くて良い場所があります。
How do you describe your personality?
(自分はどんな性格だと思いますか？)
I’m having the personal and professional attributes of being a person as well as a teacher. I’m easy to go with, having enthusiasm, patience, and having respect for everyone that surrounds me.
講師としても、個人としても個性はあると思います。私は気さくで話し易く、熱い気持ちと辛抱強さを持っています。また自分の周りの人間に対しての気遣いもあります。
What do you want to become in another life?
(生まれ変わったら何になりたいですか？)
I want to become an Accountant, a lawyer, and a Principal since these are the things I really dream of.
私が憧れを持っている会計士か、弁護士か学校長になってみたいです。
What inspired you to become a teacher?
(英語講師になろうと思ったきっかけは？)
The people that can’t afford to Study. I really want to help them and show them how valuable Education is. Otherwise, I believe that teaching is my call.
勉強したくてもお金がなくて勉強できない人々がきっかけです。教育の大切さを伝えたりして、彼らを助けたいです。教える職業に就くべくして就いたと感じています。
What made you decide to work at First Class?
(なぜFirst Classで働こうと思いましたか？)
I want to be part of this pioneering company. I want to disseminate my knowledge and skills for the betterment of the company, the students, the teachers, and for my career enhancement.
新しく立ち上げられた会社で働きたかったです。自分の知識やスキルを活かして、会社、生徒、他の講師の成長に貢献し、自分のキャリアを成長させたいです。
Is there something that you keep in mind when you teach students English language?
(英語を教える時に気をつけていることは？)
The things that I always kept in mind is that for them to learn, you need to be passionate in teaching and learning process by giving them a good interaction not just using the mind, but the heart as well.
生徒の英語成長の為に、頭で考えるだけでなく、心を込めて生徒との会話に従事し、学ぶプロセス、教えるプロセスを大切にするようにしています。
Any message to future students?
(生徒の皆さんへのメッセージ)
I am willing to help you learn the English language with the best of my capabilities. Furthermore, I’m looking forward to seeing you here at First Class, giving you the first and the best learning possible. So, start and continue studying the English language here at First Class. See you!
